DAGUPAN, PANGASINAN - The Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Fisheries, in collaboration with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office I, successfully conducted a physical ocular inspection and monitoring of the BFAR-NFDC Dagupan City, Pangasinan on March 1, 2023, in compliance with PRC Resolution No. 1471, series of 2022, setting forth the Revised Guidelines on the Conduct of Inspection and Monitoring of Educational Institutions and Establishments and with PRC Resolution No. 1576, series of 2022, Prescribing the 2023 Calendar of Inspection and Monitoring of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) and Establishments.

The activity was led by the Chairperson of the PRB of Fisheries, Hon. Westly R. Rosario, together with the Members of the Board, Hon. Carlos C. Baylon, Hon. Catalino R. Dela Cruz, Hon. Gerald F. Quinitio, Hon. Joebert D. Toledo, and the PRC Regional Office I representative Mr. King John O. Milo, Professional Regulation Officer.

Mandatory ocular inspection and monitoring activities are conducted by the different Professional Regulatory Boards to monitor the conditions affecting the practice of the profession or occupation under their respective jurisdictions and wherever necessary, adopt such measures as may be deemed proper for the enhancement of the profession or occupation and/or maintenance of high professional, ethical, and technical standards.

The said inspection was concluded with the conformity of Dr. Dennis D. Tanay, BFAR-NFDC Dagupan City Center Chief, to the findings/deficiencies of their center along with the given recommendations of the Professional Regulatory Board of Fisheries to better their public service.
