PRC holds consultative meeting with Maritime Training institutions conducting practical assessment
Manila, January 2014 – Professional Regulation Commission Chairperson Teresita R. Manzala presided at the Consultative Meeting with Maritime Training Institutions conducting the Practical Assessment at the PRC Examiners Lounge on Wednesday, January 22.
Chair Manzala underscored the critical factors to be considered in the implementation of the new practical assessment procedures.
The PRC will create a Technical Working Group to be composed by the PRC, members of the Professional Regulatory Boards for Marine Deck and Marine Engineer Officers, and representatives from the Maritime Training Institutions.
Others in attendance were Maritime Training Institutions represented by K-Line, Far East, Mariana, NYK-Fil, MAAP (AMOSUP), New Sim, Hanseatic, ZRC, Protect, Sandigan, Maritech, Intership, Barkopro, Philcamsat, Exact, BSM, Magsaysay, Great Seas, members of the Professional Regulatory Boards for Marine Deck and Marine Engineer Officers, and PRC Regional Directors from Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo.
